Crossing is a turning point in Simone’s work as she incorporates photography to her subjects adding urban textures (truck grills, street signs, pavement, lamp posts) as metaphor of destructive human sprawl over natural habitats.

Plants and trees are the lungs of our planet. Day and night they work to keep us alive. They are the only thing which can keep the sun from overheating the land. Our plants and trees remove harmful chemicals from the soil and help reduce the greenhouses leading to global warming.

Mata

Mata is a series in support of the Brazilian Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forrest), one of the richest and most threatened biomes in the world. This is such a precious diversity hotspot that one in twelve species are found nowhere else in the world. (Series in progress)


Endangered Species:

A Tribute to Andy Warhol

In 1983, Andy Warhol created a series of ten color screenprints that portrayed endangered animals from around the world entitled Endangered Species. Over thirty-five years later, eight still remain on the endangered species list. This series is a tribute to a great artist and to these beautiful creatures still in desperate need of our support to survive.

This ongoing series which began in 2016, explores and create awareness for endangered species, humanitarian and environmental causes. These are final study prints and not reproductions of original artwork. This is the last step before becoming a unique mixed media piece. They gain an originality of their own and don’t compromise the uniqueness of its final original counterpart.
